Brazil Mission

2013 is the year that Mie Prefecture and the State of Sao Paulo celebrate it's 40th year that they became sisters, and it's also the 70th year of the culture support association in Mie Pref.
According to 2012 database, around 12,000 brazilian nikkeis are living in Japan.
In 1990, after a renewal in the immigration law, many of nikkei brazilians established and are living in Japan.
There is a lot of difficulties on the foreign children education at the japanese school and there are many children who weren't guided enough for their growth and development
For more than 20 years, Mie Prefecture has been working for the foreign children education.
In march 2013, the number of the foreign children at the japanese high school has increased more than 90%
We want to support not only the nikkei brazilians but all children, to make a strong connection between cultures.

Meet the Mie Pref. Passport, every touristic place you go in Mie, you can get a stamp and when it's full, you'll win a gift of Mie Pref.
The passports are free and it comes in the color Red (First Stage) Blue (Second Stage) and Green (Premium Stage)

ISE TOUR - AMIGOS DE MIE

We had an amazing and interesting visit to Ise Shrine (Ise Jingu), where we had the chance to learn a little bit more about the Japanese culture.
Meoto Iwa, the two rocks symbolizes the union between the man and women, a very famous touristic spot in Japan
Mikimoto Pearl Island is a wonderful place where you can see how the pearls are made, you can watch the show and you can also buy the pearls there.
We also had the pleasure to see the Brazilian flag next to the Japanese flag at the entrance of the island.
A great tour through Ise city in Mie Prefecture, we'll remember forever.

MIEBRAS project kick off party

The kick off party was amazing. We had a lot fun.
The reception was excellent and we also had the oportunity to learn
a little bit about the connection between Mie Pref and São Paulo.
